Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
1. General Information & Scope of Application
Data Protection Overview
The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website or use our Android applications ("Dot Hub for Glyph Matrix" and "N Clock"). Personal data is any data that can be used to personally identify you.
Scope of Application
This privacy policy applies to the use of:
- The website operated by nostream digital solutions.
- The Android app "Dot Hub for Glyph Matrix".
- The Android app "N Clock".
- The in-app Webviews integrated within these apps that load our website content.
Important Distinction: Our website operates entirely without cookies, marketing analytics, or tracking technologies. Similarly, our apps are designed for data economy, generally operating offline without connecting to our own servers, utilizing no tracking, no profiling, no personalized advertising, and no crashlytics services. However, technical data processing still occurs automatically via server log files when you visit the site or load a Webview within the apps, when you proactively contact us via e-mail, or when the apps communicate with Google Play services for license/subscription verification.
2. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Paul Gesekus
(trading as: nostream digital solutions)
August-Wolff-Straße 17
65203 Wiesbaden
Germany
E-Mail: contact@nostream.de
3. Website & Webview Data Processing
Hosting & Server Log Files
Our website (and by extension, the website content loaded via Webviews in our apps) is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany ("Strato").
When you access our website or open a Webview in the apps, Strato automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser or app automatically transmits to the server. These are:
- IP address
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Time of the server request
This data is not merged with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of their services – for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.
- Recipients of the data: Our hosting provider Strato processes this data on our behalf. We have concluded a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with Strato in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
- Storage duration: IP addresses are stored anonymously by Strato for a maximum of 7 days to detect and ward off attacks. After that, they are deleted unless legal retention obligations require longer.
- Obligation to provide data: Not legally or contractually required, but technically necessary for the service and functionality of our website and Webviews.
SSL/TLS Encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
4. App Functions and Data Processing
In the apps ("Dot Hub for Glyph Matrix" and "N Clock"), only information that is technically necessary to provide the respective function is processed. Personal data is not transmitted to us as the controller nor to third parties (except for the Google Play billing/licensing process).
Shared App Features
- Settings: UI settings (e.g., Dark Mode, clock faces) to maintain your preferred app configurations. Local storage only within the app's storage on the device. No transmission.
- Notifications & Alarms: Optional, purely local notifications of the app (e.g., alarms, timers, reminders). Managed by the device's OS. No push tokens or IDs are sent to servers.
App-Specific Features
- Visualizer (Dot Hub only): Real-time audio processing in the RAM to display visualizations matching the current audio signal. Processing exclusively in RAM, without permanent storage. No recording or transmission of audio data takes place.
5. Google Play Subscriptions & Licensing
While the apps do not transmit data to our own servers, they require a technical connection to Google Play services for purchase verification (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR):
- Subscriptions (Dot Hub): Verifying active subscriptions ("Dot Hub Pro" / "Support") to unlock features via the Google Play Billing Library.
- Purchase Verification (N Clock): Verifying your one-time purchase to authorize app usage via the Google Play Licensing service.
Data Disclosure & Third-Country Transfer: License verification and subscription status are processed directly between your device and Google's servers. No financial or account data is stored by us. Google processes transaction and licensing data as an independent controller. No transmission to third countries is carried out by us as the controller. Please note that Google may process transaction and licensing data on servers located in the United States. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), which ensures an adequate level of data protection in accordance with GDPR standards. Details can be found in Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Contacting Us by E-Mail
If you contact us by e-mail, your inquiry including all resulting personal data (e.g., name, e-mail address, content of your request) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request.
- Legal Basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR (if related to a contract or pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in effective processing of inquiries).
- Recipients: Your data is received directly by us. Depending on our technical infrastructure, our e-mail hosting provider may act as a processor.
- Storage Duration: Data remains with us until the purpose lapses (e.g., conclusively processed), you request deletion, or revoke consent, subject to mandatory statutory retention periods.
- Obligation: Voluntary, but an e-mail address and inquiry context are necessary for us to respond.
7. Storage Period & Deletion (App Data)
Local app data remains on your device until you remove it. You can delete all data stored by the apps at any time by uninstalling the app or by clearing the app storage or cache in your device's system settings.
8. Your Rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), or restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20)
- Right to object (Art. 21) and the right to withdraw consent (Art. 7 Para. 3)
Please contact us at contact@nostream.de to exercise these rights regarding website or e-mail data. Since the apps do not transmit personal data to the controller, you can exercise your rights regarding app data in practice specifically by uninstalling the apps.
9. Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Supervisory Authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for the controller is:
Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit
Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1
65189 Wiesbaden
Germany
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy if the technical design of the apps, the website, or the legal framework conditions change. The version most recently displayed on this website or within the apps always applies.
